Search Dispute Screen Overview

Overview

Use the Search Dispute screen to locate the dispute you want to work with. If you want to create a new dispute, click the Create New Dispute button. More

To locate the specific disputes you want to work on, enter search criteria to filter your results. You can filter using any of the fields on the screen. You can use advanced search to create a condition that searches for disputes for a certain disputed amount or for invoices with a certain amount due.

By default, the screen displays only the disputes for which you are the current resolver.

Tip:  To view disputes for which you are the current resolver and those for which you are the former resolver, remove the selection from the Primary check box and click Search.

When you search for and locate a dispute, with the appropriate access privileges Your access privileges in eCredit are determined by the capabilities for the user role you are assigned to. Your user role might include no access or read-only access to certain features. you can do the following from the Search Results section of the screen:

  • Submit disputes against an invoice or against a line item by clicking the Create New Dispute button.

  • Track the progress of disputes by viewing the information for the dispute in the Search Results section.

  • Update or view dispute details by selecting the dispute # in the Search results section to access the dispute details screen.

  • Update the dispute status for up to twenty invoices at one time.

  • Reassign disputes to manually override the system-determined dispute resolver by selecting the disputes and clicking Reassign.  

  • View the total amount disputed for multiple invoices by selecting the invoices and hovering the mouse over your selections.

Accessing disputes in the Dispute Management module

To access a dispute in the Dispute Management module, you must be an eCredit user assigned to a role that includes the capability to search and view disputes and you must be one of the following:

  • Dispute resolver

  • The primary or secondary manager for the dispute resolver

  • A user assigned to the same business role as the resolver if the business role includes the access work queue capability
