Working with Bureau Reports

Overview

Bureau Reports enables you to:

  • Submit credit bureau events Each time a lender or the automated decision process requests information from a credit bureau, the request is tracked and labeled as a bureau event. The event is assigned a number to identify it. to request credit bureau products for a customer.

  • Submit a bureau report request directly from the corresponding bureau's lookup (LOS) screen.

  • View the results of all bureau events that have a processing status of Success. This includes both credit bureau events generated by the automated decision process, and events submitted by credit analysts.

  • View the Cortera BOOST report generated by batch scoring using Cortera BOOST.

  • Verify that a business exists and obtain demographic information and a payment score using Cortera QUICKLOOK.

  • Request the Cortera DIG Report to obtain industry-specific payment scores, commentary, and graphs.

  • Print the information you request from credit bureaus

  • Reprocess a bureau event if the processing fails.

When bureau events fail to process successfully, a status message appears to describe the failure. Some possible reasons for processing failures include:

Action

You entered incorrect login information.

Re-enter the information and reprocess the event. Contact your business administrator to verify the correct login information.
 

The communication link with the credit bureau is broken, or the bureau servers are down.
