Changing Note Information

Procedure

To change notes information for a customer or a credit request:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To change a note from the Automated Decisions module, select the credit request. How?

    • To change a note from the Customer Analysis module, select the customer. How?

  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you selected a credit request, from the Credit Request Details screen, select the Notes tab.

    • If you select a customer, from the Customer Information tab, select Notes

The Notes screen appears.

Note: You can sort the screen by any of the underlined column headers. The first click sorts in ascending order. The second click sorts in descending order.

  1. Select view/edit in the row for the note you want to change.
    The Notes Details screen displays information for the selected note.

  2. In the Comments text box, change the note.

Note: If your administrator has defined Auto Text for notes, click Auto Text and select the pre-defined text from the list. You can modify the pre-defined text if needed. The Auto Text feature applies only to customer notes.

  1. Enter a subject line up to 40 characters. The subject line appears on the Notes screen in the list of notes. It helps identify the note.

  2. If needed, select a different category for the note.

  3. To change the attachment:

    1. Click Browse.
      The Choose File dialog box opens.

    2. Locate and select the file you want to attach and click Open.

  4. To modify an existing attachment:

Note: To modify the attachment, you must have the source application installed on your computer.

    1. Click View Attachment.
      The File Download dialog appears.

    2. Select Save to save the file to your hard drive.
      The Save As dialog box appears.

    3. Select a location for the file and click Save.
      The Download Complete dialog appears.

    4. Click Open.
      The file opens in its source application.

    5. Make changes to the document and click Save. Close the window for the document.

    6. On the Notes Details screen, click the Browse button.

    7. Locate the modified file and click Open.
      The path for the modified file appears in the Attach File field.

  1. To save the changes, click Save.
    If you added a new or modified attachment, its file name appears as the Current Attachment under the Attach File field.
