Adding and Viewing Notes and Attachments

Procedure

To add and view notes and attachments:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To add a note to a credit request, select the credit request. How?

    • To add a note to a customer, select the customer. How?

Note:  The note you add is available to authorized users using either module.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you selected a credit request, from the Credit Request Details screen, select the Notes tab.

    • If you select a customer, from the Customer Information tab, select Notes

The Notes screen appears.

 Note: You can sort the screen by any of the underlined column headers. The first click sorts in ascending order. The second click sorts in descending order.

  1. Click Add.
    The Note Details screen appears.

  2. In the Comments section, enter the note.

Note: If your administrator has defined Auto Text for notes, click Auto Text and select the pre-defined text from the list. You can modify the pre-defined text if needed. The Auto Text feature applies only to customer notes.

  1. Select a category for the note. The category can facilitate searching for the note if many notes are added.

  2. Enter a subject line up to 40 characters. The subject line appears on the Notes screen in the list of notes. It helps identify the note.

  3. To attach a file to the note, use the Browse button to locate and select the file. You can attach only one file to each note.

  4. Click Save to save the note details.

  5. To view the attached file, click View Attachment. The View Attachment button appears after you save the note.
