Editing Credit Lines

Overview

The following determine if you can edit approved credit lines:

  • Your eCredit Business Administrator must set up eCredit to enable editing of approved credit line.

  • Your role assignment must include the capability to save credit lines.

  • Your approval authority amount must be equal to or greater than the original approved amount for the credit line.

Critical credit line information

Certain credit line information is considered critical and can be changed only if your approval authority is equal to or greater than the Analyst Recommended Line for both the original information and the changed information.

If the credit line is approved, to change any credit line information, your Business Administrator must have eCredit set up to enable editing of approved credit lines.

Critical credit line information includes:

  • Requested Amount

  • Analyst Recommended Line

  • Effective Date

  • Unit

  • Conversion Date

  • Expiration Date

  • Currency

What happens when critical information is changed

If a user successfully changes any of this critical information, the credit line must be re-approved.

Note:  If the credit line requires multiple approvals (that is, if concurrence approval is set up), then the approval process defined by your business administrator starts from the beginning.

For example, if concurrence approval is set up and a credit line requires three approvals but has two approvals entered, when a user changes critical information, the credit line approval process begins again. This means that three new approvals are required.
