Locating Tasks in Work Queue

Procedure

To locate tasks in work queue:

  1. Select Work Queue.
    The Work Queue Search screen displays all tasks assigned to you. The Search Results section initially displays work queue tasks with the tasks with the oldest due dates listed first. When you click on any underlined column header the list sorts by that information in ascending order. If you click the header a second time, the list displays in descending order.

Note:  Overdue tasks appear in red text.

  1. To narrow the search, enter information to identify the work queue tasks you want to locate. How?

Then...

for a specific work queue process or task

Select the work queue process and then the task from the lists

for a specific customer

Enter the customer name or customer #.

Note: For customer name, the wildcard is automatically entered at the end of your entry. You do not need to add it. For customer #, you must enter % (the wildcard) when making a partial entry. The customer # is case-sensitive for any letters it contains.

for customers from a certain region

Select a region from the list

having a specific status

Select the status from the list

for a specific transaction

Enter the transaction number in the Tran # field.

Note: You can enter a partial entry, but you must add the % at the end to indicate that the entry is partial. The Tran # is case-sensitive for any letters it contains.

having a specific priority

Select the priority from the list

having a due date within a certain time frame

Enter a start and end date to define the time frame during which the actions were due

by user

You can make the following selections from the user list:

  • Select a user from the list to see tasks for that user's work queue. By default, your name is selected from the list.

  • Unassigned to see tasks that are unassigned.  

  • All to view work queue tasks assigned to any user.

The following users appear in your User list:

  • Users who are your subordinates. This includes your immediate subordinates, and those that they manage. To view work queue tasks for a subordinate, you must be listed as the primary or secondary manager for the user on the subordinate's User Details screen

  • Users who are assigned to the same business role as you, and the role includes the capability to access other work queues.

  1. Click Search.
    The Search Results section lists all work queue tasks that meet the search information you specify.

Tip: You can also execute the search by pressing the Enter key.
