It is not recommended to modify a ruleset while it is
active. To modify the active ruleset, create a new one by copying the
active ruleset. Make your modifications on the copy. When you have finalized
your changes, you can promote the revised ruleset to make it the active
ruleset.
To modify rulesets:
Select Admin.
The Admin Home Page appears.
From the Policy
Administration tab, select Rulesets.
The Rulesets screen appears.
Select view/edit
in the row for the ruleset that you want to modify.
The Ruleset Definition screen appears.
Change information
for the ruleset. You can change the name, default workgroup or segment,
and currency. The ruleset Name must be unique.
To modify a
rule, In the Rules section, click view/edit in the row for the rule you
want to modify.
The Rule Definition screen appears.
At the top
of the screen, if necessary, change the selection in the check box that
indicates whether the rule is the root rule, and click Save. A ruleset
can have only one root rule. The root rule is indicated by a green check
mark.
Note: You
cannot change the name or attribute for the rule. To use a different attribute,
you must create a new rule.
In the Conditions
section, click view/edit in the row for the condition you want to change.
The Rule Condition screen appears.
In the Define
Condition for Attribute Name section, you can change the selection for
the type of condition, and change the values in the fields for the condition.
In the If Condition
is Satisfied section, make any changes to the Evaluate Rule or Assignment
(Segment or Workgroup) selection.
Click Save.
Note: If you
changed the rule name, the rule name is updated in lists when selecting
rules as results for rule conditions.
