Reassigning Work Queue Tasks

Procedure

You can reassign a work queue task to another user if either of the following apply:

  • You are part of a business role that includes this capability. You can reassign work queue tasks for users who are assigned to this same business role.

  • You can reassign work queue tasks to any analysts for whom you are the primary or secondary manager.

To reassign work queue tasks:

  1. Locate the work queue task. How?

  2. In the Search Results section of the Work Queue Search screen, select the check boxes for the tasks you want to reassign to the same user, and click Reassign.
    A pop-up screen displays the names of users to whom you can reassign the task.

  3. In the user list, select someone else to handle the task, then click Assign.
    The selected tasks are now assigned to the selected user's Work Queue.

Note:  If you are a subscriber user, or a user for an Internal source that has access to all users, you can reassign a work queue task to any user. If you are a user for an External source, or for an Internal source that does not have access to all users, you can reassign only to users for your source organization.

  1. To dismiss the pop-up screen, click Cancel.
