Trade References

Overview

Trade Reference is a feature of the eCredit application which you can use to

  • enter business information for the trade reference.

  • assign the trade reference a relative weight Relative weight is a value between 0 and 100 that indicates a confidence rating for a record relative to other records of the same type for the same customer. The values selected for relative weight are especially important if you have credit decision rules used by business processes or score cards that evaluate this type of reference information..

  • maintain trade reference contact information.

  • enter verification comments.

  • enter A/R data for the customer's trade credit experience.

  • enter review dates that can be used to set up work queue items to review the reference.

  • generate correspondence for the trade reference using your company's templates.

You can add Trade references for a credit request or for a customer. From the Customer Analysis module you can view both trade references for a credit request and trade references for the customer. If the trade reference has a Tran # on the Trade References screen, it indicates that the trade reference was entered for a credit request.
