Adding a Letter of Credit Collateral Transaction

Procedure

To add a letter of credit collateral transaction:

  1. Select the customer. How?

  2. From the Customer Information tab, select Collateral.
    The Collaterals List screen appears.

  3. In the Collaterals List section, click Add.
    The Collateral details screen appears.

  4. From the Collateral Category list, select Letter of Credit.
    The Collateral Type list contains the selections for the category you select.

  5. From the Collateral Type list, select the type of letter of credit transaction.
    The Collateral details screen displays the fields for the transaction type you select.

  6. Enter or select the information for the collateral transaction.

Note:  eCredit tracks the maximum and balance exposure for an issuer bank. When you select an issuer bank, eCredit displays the maximum exposure set by your business administrator, the current Total Collateral Exposure and the Balance Exposure for the issuer bank.

  1. Click Save.

Note:  When you click Save, eCredit updates the Total Collateral Exposure and the Balance Exposure to include the collateral transaction you just entered. Your business administrator sets the maximum exposure the bank can have with your customers.
