Working with Business Hierarchy Data

Overview

If your eCredit business administrator defines hierarchies for customers that have business or legal relationships with each other, and if you are sending eCredit the aging schedule for the customer through an interface with your Accounts Receivable system, you can use the Business Hierarchy feature to view consolidated and detail data for accounts in these hierarchies.

Business Hierarchy enables you to view:

  • consolidated aging and exposure information for customers that are part of a hierarchy. Exposure is calculated for the entire hierarchy or for a subset of the hierarchy that you select.

  • aging details for each account along with the aggregated hierarchy data (View Details button).

  • profits, revenues, and weighted score for each customer in the hierarchy (Selected Account Data section).

  • customer, accounts receivable, credit line, and collateral details for each customer in the hierarchy. You can select the fields to display on the screen or export to Excel or PDF.

Having access to consolidated exposure and aging for the customer's business hierarchy enables you to control exposure at the aggregate level.

Aggregated information

You can view the following data aggregated for the hierarchy:

  • Total A/R exposure

  • Aging current and aging buckets

  • Total approved effective credit lines

  • Total credit allocation (to business units)

  • Total approved effective collateral transactions

Customer fields used

eCredit uses the following amounts entered for the customer when calculating the consolidated credit lines or collateral transactions, or when reporting profits and revenues for the selected account:
