About Modifying Strategies |
|
Overview |
You can modify any information for a strategy at any time. However, when you modify a strategy, the revised strategy is assigned to new invoices as they enter the system. Invoices already assigned to the strategy will continue with the treatment defined before the strategy was changed. When modifying strategies, be aware that any changes you make to strategy branches, tasks, and mapping could impact the strategy's effectiveness metrics for the time period before and after the modifications were made. If the modified strategy is being used in a segment that has both a Champion and a Challenger strategy assigned, the comparison is only valid for the period before or after the changes were made. More If you want to modify a strategy, consider creating a new version of the strategy and associating the new version with the segment the original strategy was associated with. This gives you the option of reverting back to the old strategy. When you are certain that you do not need the old strategy definitions, you can mark the original strategy for deletion. As with any modification to a strategy, segments already assigned to the original strategy will continue to be treated by it, while new invoices will be treated by the revised strategy. When defining a Challenger strategy, you can clone the existing Champion strategy, and then modify it to reflect the changes you want to test. |
