Maintaining Process Thresholds

Overview

Your automated decision process built by eCredit uses threshold values that you can modify through the Process Threshold feature of the Admin module. These threshold values are critical parameters used by the process, such as scorecard cutoffs that determine whether a credit request is approved or declined. Having the ability to modify threshold values provides you some control over the automated decision process without the need to redefine the process.

During your subscriber setup, eCredit Professional Services personnel add the process thresholds used by your automated decision process. The threshold value is assigned a data type, and value. For numeric and float values, the threshold can be assigned a valid minimum and maximum value to establish an acceptable range for the threshold.

You can edit the value and description for the threshold. When you enter a value for a threshold, eCredit validates that you have entered the correct data type, and that your entry falls within any range defined as valid for the threshold.

Categories describe the part of the automated decision process that uses the threshold value. You can search for thresholds by category, facilitating your locating threshold values when working with them.

Thresholds are organized by the following categories:

  • Bureau

  • Decision

  • Pre-scoring

  • Scoring

  • Post-scoring

  • Correspondence
