Adding Trigger Rules for Notification Actions

Procedure

To add trigger rules for notification actions:

  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin Home Page appears.

  2. From the Business Administration tab, select Notification Setup.
    The Notification Setup (search) screen appears.

  3. If necessary, enter search information for the notification event, and click Search.
    The Search Results section lists the notification events matching the search information.

  4. In Search Results, select view/edit in the row for the event for which you want to add rules.
    The Notification Setup screen appears.

  5. In the RuleSet section, click Add Rule.
    The Trigger Rule Details screen appears.

  6. Click Add Condition.
    The Rule Condition section appears.

  7. In Rule Condition, enter or select the following information:

Entry

Description

Left Parenthesis

This is an optional entry. By default, eCredit applies a single parenthesis to your condition. Select a left parenthesis if you are creating nested conditions.

Attribute

Select the attribute. The attribute is the notification type characteristic (for example, dispute characteristic) that the condition evaluates. When the triggering event occurs, the condition evaluates this characteristic to determine if the action occurs.

Operator

Select equals, not equals, less than, greater than, less than or equal to, greater than or equal to, or contains as the logical operator used to evaluate the value for the condition.

Value

Enter the value that the condition uses to evaluate the attribute. For certain attributes you select the value from a list.

Right Parenthesis

This is an optional entry. By default, eCredit applies a single parenthesis to your condition. Select a right parenthesis if you are creating nested conditions.

  1. Click Save Condition.
    The Trigger Rule Details screen refreshes to display the Action list.

  2. From the Action list, select the action you want to occur for events that satisfy the condition you just created.
    The Trigger Rule Details screen refreshes to display the details for the action you select.

  3. To associate the action with the condition, select Save under the Action list.
