You use the Correspondence feature to maintain the templates
that the Credit Professional Services Organization (PSO) sets up as part
of your implementation. These templates are used in the following situations:
Credit analysts and
sales representatives select from these templates when generating e-mail
messages in the Correspondence feature in the Automated Decisions or Customer
Analysis modules.
eCredit uses these
templates when sending automated correspondence for messages defined by
your collections strategies.
eCredit uses these
templates to create action items in collectors' work queues as defined
by your collections strategies.
eCredit uses these
templates when sending dispute notification to resolvers and dispute contacts.
You can maintain the following information for correspondence templates:
Description of the
template. The description identifies the template and distinguishes it
from other templates.
Whether the correspondence
is sent inline (in the body of the e-mail), or as an attachment.
Whether or not the
template is active. When you select the Is Active check box for a template,
the template is available to users who have access privileges to the Correspondence
feature, and to any automated processes that references the template.
Whether the template
is generated as HTML or plain text. The selection you make appears as
the default on the screen, but users can change this when generating correspondence.
Default subject for
the e-mail. This is the subject the e-mail recipient sees when they receive
the e-mail. The selection you make appears as the default on the screen,
but users can change this when generating correspondence.
