Adding Notes and Attachments from Dispute Details

Procedure

To add notes and attachments to a dispute:

  1. Locate the dispute. How?

  2. On the Dispute Details screen, in the Comments section, click Add.
    The Add Dispute Comment screen appears. The Author field displays your name and the Category field is Disputes. You cannot change these fields.

  3. Enter a Subject line. As you type, a list of subjects that match your entry is shown. Click a suggested Subject line to use it as the subject.

Note: The subject line appears on the Dispute Details screen to identify and summarize the comment.

  1. In the Comments section, enter your comments for the dispute. If your administrator has defined Auto Text for comments, click Auto Text and select the pre-defined text from the list. You can modify the pre-defined text if needed.

  2. To add an attachment with the comments:

    1. Click Browse.
      A dialog box to select the file to attach appears.

    2. Locate the file and click Open.
      The Add Dispute Comment screen appears with the path for the file in the Attach File field.

  3. Click Save.
    When you add dispute comments or attachments, the notification rules for the 'on update' dispute event are triggered so that the following occurs:

    • The resolver for the 'on update' event is determined and is sent notification that they are assigned to the dispute.

    • E-mail notification of the dispute assignment is sent to any secondary contact determined by the notification ruleset for dispute updates.

    • If there is no notification ruleset defined for updates, the invoice owner is assigned and notified.

  1. To return to the Dispute Details screen, click Cancel.
