Importing Your Data into eCredit

Procedure

To import your data into eCredit:

  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin Home page appears.

  2. Select the Data Import tab.
    The Data Import screen displays any previous data import requests.

  3. Click Import New File.
    The Data Import Wizard Help page provides an overview of the data import process and a link to see a sample file layout.

  4. Click Next.
    The Data Import Wizard - Step 1 of 2 appears.
    Use this step to:

    • Locate the .csv file on your desktop by clicking Browse.

    • Indicate whether the file includes a header row. The header row is the first row in your file and is used to label the columns in your file. If you do not include a header row, the columns are labeled field 1, field 2, etc.

  5. Click Next.
    The Step 2 Map Your Fields screen appears.

  6. If you selected a template, the screen shows the fields mapped using the template. If you want to change the mapping as shown on the screen, in the Layout Fields column, select a different field in the row for the imported field.

  7. When all fields are accurately mapped, click Import.
    The file is scheduled for import.  An acknowledgement screen gives you a request ID and status details. You receive an e-mail notification when the import is completed.

  8. Click OK to return to the Data Import screen.
