Business Legal Entity |
Select the legal entity that describes the customer's business. | |
Business Structure |
Select the description for the structure of the customer's business. Examples: Public Corporation or Limited Liability Company. | |
Customer Name |
The legal name for the customer's business. | |
Customer # |
Number used by eCredit to identify the customer. If you do not enter a number, eCredit automatically assigns a number that you are able to modify. | |
DBA (Trade Ref) 1 -5 |
Alternative names or trade names used by a business for sales or marketing purposes. Example: Smith Products. Note: On Customer Search screens, eCredit searches for all the DBA trade reference names you enter, but displays only the name entered in the DBA (Trade Ref) 1 field. For this reason, you might want to enter the most frequently used or most prominent trade name in the DBA (Trade Ref) 1 field. | |
Other Reference # |
If you use a different customer identifier than the Customer # used in eCredit, you can enter that number here as the Other Reference #. | |
Region |
Select the sales region for the customer's business. | |
Address Information |

Address 1-3 |
Up to three lines of customer address information. Address data can include street name, PO Box number, suite number, and so on. Example: 555 Washington Street, Building 2, 3rd Floor. | |
Address Type |
Type of address, such as billing, legal, mailing, or shipping. Note: You must enter one legal address for each customer. The automated decision process uses the legal address when pulling credit bureau data. | |
City |
City where the customer's business is located. Example: Boston. | |
County |
County where the customer's business is located. | |
Country |
Country where the customer's business is located. If you use eCredit to request financial data from Reuters , the country you enter here automatically appears on the Event Data screen for requests for this customer. | |

For sole proprietorships, the Social Security Number of the principal for the customer's business. Enter 9 numbers without spaces or hyphens. For security purposes, only the last four numbers of your Social Security Number are displayed. | |

For corporate customers, the Federal Tax Identification number for the business. | |

For a customer that has a history of bankruptcy filings, select the time of the most recent filing. | |

Select the business hierarchy level for the customer. Examples: Ultimate, Parent, or Subsidiary. | |

Select the date when you established a business relationship with the customer. | |

Select the date when the customer's business was established. | |
Information Source |
Select the source for business information for this customer. | |
LBO When |
For a customer that has a history of leveraged buy out (LBO), select the time frame of the most recent occurrence. | |
Legal Entity Level |
Select the legal hierarchy level for the customer. Examples: Headquarters or Branch. | |
Management Quality |
Based on your analysis, assess the quality of the management for the customer's business. | |
Rating |
An assessment of the customer's ability to pay. When using eCredit for Collections, the Rating value can be used in rulesets when selecting invoices for strategy and workgroup assignment. | |
Risk Code |
The risk code is a classification for the customer's credit risk. When using eCredit for collections, the Risk Code value can be used in rulesets when selecting invoices for strategy and workgroup assignment. | |
Ticker Symbol |
For publicly-traded companies, the stock market index ticker symbol established for the customer's business. Note: If you use eCredit to request financials statements, the Market Snapshot report, or Significant Developments from Reuters, the ticker symbol you enter here is automatically entered on the Event Data screen for the request when you select Ticker as the Company Request Type. | |
Weighted Score |
Weighted score (raw score x scorecard weight) for the customer. The way this field is populated depends on your implementation. For example, this field might be populated by the automated decision process when a credit request is submitted through eCredit. | |

Select a description that best matches the actual payment method used by the customer. | |
Checking Balance |
The customer's current checking balance. | |
Net Worth |
Amount of the company's net worth. | |
Expected |
Select the expected payment method as specified in your agreement with the customer. | |

Account Status |
Select the customer account status. Examples: Active, Inactive, or On Hold. | |
Collector |
Select the name of the person assigned to collect payment
from the customer. | |
Credit Analyst |
Select the name of the credit analyst assigned to the customer's account. Note: If Is Restricted or Is NDA is selected for the customer, you must select a user for at least one of the following: credit analyst, secondary analyst, or collector. | |
Is NDA |
When selected, designates this customer as a nondisclosure account. This means that only authorized users can access this account's customer information or credit request details. Authorized users include the primary and secondary analyst and collector, and the primary and secondary managers for these users. For NDA accounts, unauthorized users are not able to view the account information or credit request details. | |
Is Restricted |
When selected, only authorized users can add, edit, or delete customer data and credit request details. Authorized users include the primary and secondary analyst and collector, and the primary and secondary managers for these users. Unauthorized users have read-only access to the customer data and credit request details. | |
Last Modified |
System-calculated date that the customer information on this screen was last modified. | |
Last Reviewed (YYYY-MM-DD) |
Select the date the customer's account was last reviewed. | |
Next Review Date |
System-calculated date for the next review. eCredit calculates the date based on the entries you make in the Last Reviewed and Next Review In fields. | |

Secondary Analyst |
Select the name of the secondary credit analyst assigned
to the customer. | |

Select the default currency used to record monetary values for the customer. | |
Financial Format |
Select the financial format for entering financial data for the customer. A customer can have only one financial format. Once you enter a financial statement for the customer you cannot change the format used for the customer. | |
Include in Portfolio Scoring |
Select this check box to have this account included when using Cortera BOOST to batch score your customers. | |
My Watch List |
Select this check box to add this customer to your Watch List. Watch List customers appear on your eCredit Home Page so that you can track them using metrics that you select. | |
Portfolio

If you have an eCredit license that includes the Portfolio module, the portfolio you select is used as the default for generating Expert Comments for the customer. | |
Source

To associate the customer with a sales channel for your organization, such as for a branch, vendor, or distributor, select the name of the source (sales channel) for this customer. If this customer is associated with your organization, it is not necessary to select a source. Note: The Source field appears only if you are a user for a subscriber organization. | |
Collection Strategy |
The name of the collection strategy for the customer. This field is visible only if the Customer Level Strategy flag is turned on in the eCredit Admin Module. More The collection strategy remains in effect for the customer until you either assign a new one, or click the Reset link to remove the current collection strategy and have a new one assigned the next time an invoice is loaded for the customer. | |
Type of Business |
Select the type of business in which the customer engages. | |

The Net30 score. If between 0 and 900 then it is a Model Score. If equal to 999 0r 9999, then one or more special score reasons apply. | |

The percentage of accounts that are expected to score lower and thus have higher credit risk than this customer. | |

The probability that the account will go bad within 6 months of the score date. | |
